­AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management – Whirlwind Print gained this standard in 2007 and remains fully compliant

ISO 9000 has become an international reference for quality management requirements in business-to-business dealings (B2B).

The ISO 9000 family is primarily concerned with “quality management”. This means, what the organisation does to fulfil:

      • The customer’s quality requirement and applicable regulatory requirements, while
      • Enhancing customer satisfaction, and
      • Achieving continual improvement of its performances in pursuit of these objectives.

Here at Whirlwind Print, we document our manufacturing processes and develop quality printing procedures to conform with the AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management standard.

Regular internal audits are conducted to maintain compliance plus a third party surveillance audit is undertaken every six months.

A quality control checklist is completed at the end of each production process, including a final inspection by a specially trained quality assurance representative, prior to dispatch to the customer.

The process is customer focused and all quality issues, including complaints, are rated based on the impact to the customer and recorded via Whirlwind’s management information system, investigated and reviewed with corrective actions implemented.

Certification to this standard gives assurance to our customers, suppliers and the local community that we are committed to maintaining and continuously improving quality standards beyond simply complying with the minimum legal requirements for the printing industry.
