Weight:

The foilboard is 300gsm, but it bulks to 410gsm on completion of print.

Description: 

• Blingfoil allows you to achieve a full colour foil in one pass.
• No more hot stamp foiling with blocks costing
  time and money, Blingfoil is a quick and inexpensive way to achieve foiling with unique techniques.
• A similar technique is used to that of toothpaste packaging, beer labels and many other products to
  produce multiple metallic colours in one pass.

Uses:

Perfect for postcards, business cards, promo cards and much more.

Laminate:

Blingfoil is printed one side, with gloss laminated front only on 300gsm recycled board with magnetically adhered recycled aluminium.  There are multiple finishes available for Blingfoil, however gloss laminate front only for standard products applies.

Additional Notes:

Standard sizes are as follows:

• Business cards – 54mm x 86mm.
• Postcards – 150mm x 100mm.
• DL Promo cards – 98mm x 210mm.

The minimum run for Blingfoil is 500 and cannot be trimmed below 50mm and the maximum size is up to A3.

Create your business card as you would normally for a standard business card print.  Ensure the card is 86mm x
54mm with 3mm bleed on all four sides. The first page will always be considered as the front of the card. In this
example we want the image of the diamond to have a metallic look utilising the CMYK colours to create added realism and the ‘D’ and ‘Diamonds are Forever’ are silver foil.

Create a second page (Back of the business card) This will be printed at no additional charge, but will not be laminated.

Create your BlingFoil. You must determine which section of the card you want metallic and what sections are to be
solid CMYK, in this example, the blue area will be printed in white opaque and the silver foil will show through the knocked out areas on the artwork (right). Convert these images to PMS 072, it MUST line up with the areas on the front of the card (see Step 1) Although this must be sent through as PMS 072, we will print in opaque white, so ensure you retain the spot colour when converting to PDF. Trim line will be the guide for us line up page 1 & 3, so please ensure this is correct.

Important Note

The artwork MUST be uploaded as a High resolution ‘multi-page’ PDF in CMYK and Spot. Do not convert the artwork to CMYK only, as your order will be cancelled and require you to re-upload the order. A cancellation fee will apply.
